Senior Thesis Project

If you are UM undergraduate students majoring in Psychology and interested in doing your thesis project under the supervision of Dr. Chi, please contact her directly. 

Volunteer in Our Lab

We typically have openings for new undergraduate research assistant volunteers. To apply, please email Dr. Chi with your current resume and cover letter. Hourly stipend is paid for research activities such as participants recruitment and data collection. Professional development opportunities such as meeting researchers, contributing to publications, writing research reports are provided in addition to the paid hours.

Graduate Students 

We look for excellent graduate students who want research training in the interface of relationships and health. Graduate students in our lab will have opportunities to coordinate the on-going projects, attend meetings and conferences, write manuscripts, work on presentations, and develop research proposals. Through these training and the coursework at UM, our graduates are expected to develop their own research expertise and become an independent researcher. Post-doctoral Fellowship
In Relationship Science and Health Psychology

Relationships and Health Lab at University of Macau are seeking applications for postdoctoral fellowship & postdoctoral associateship. The appointee will join an internationally active research team led by Dr. Peilian Chi at Department of Psychology and Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences, University of Macau. Dr. Chi is looking for excellent candidates whose expertise on social & affective neuroscience or intervention with young children with autism. Requirements

  1. Holder of PhD degree or equivalent degree from top-ranked universities or disciplines (e.g., Top 200 ranked universities listed on THE/QS world ranking, or those listed under the Double First-Class Initiatives and Programmes in mainland China);

  2. Holder of PhD degree for less than 2 years. Applicants with doctoral degree award expected within 6 months upon closing of application will be considered;

  3. Proven record of outstanding academic achievement, including publications, patents, presentations and academic awards;

  4. Current UM Postdoctoral Fellowship and Associateship appointees are not eligible for application.

 

Duration

 

The position of UMPF is in the category of research staff on a 2-year contract basis.

 

Remuneration

 

A taxable annual remuneration between MOP336,000 and MOP480,000 (approximately USD41,480 to 59,250) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions experience.
